Toxicology Test
This assay is designed for the prediction of acute skin irritation of peptide by measurement of its cytotoxic effect, as reflected in the MTT assay, on the Reconstructed Human Epidermis (RHE) model.
LLNA (Local Lymph Node Assay) is that sensitizers induce a primary proliferation of lymphocytes in the lymph node draining the site of peptide application. The LLNA assesses this proliferation as a dose-response in which the proliferation in test groups is compared to that in vehicle treated controls.
AMES (mutagenicity test) : This procedure evaluates the mutagenic potential of test peptide-in CHO cell(in-vitro mammalian cell micronucleus test)
The ReProComet assay is used for in-vitro reproductive toxicity. The ReProComet assay is a modified single cell gel electrophoresis method to detect peptide-induced DNA damage in bull sperm available from assisted reproduction practices.
In this test, a corneal cell line (SIRC) is cultured in the presence of test peptide, the toxicity of which is determined by their effect upon cell viability. The decreased cell number is measured by MTT.
Franz diffusion cell in-vitro methods measure the diffusion of chemicals into and across skin to a fluid reservoir and can utilize non-viable skin to measure diffusion only, or fresh, metabolically active skin to simultaneously measure diffusion and skin metabolism.
